Once obtaining a weapon, you can sneak up on a Bandit from behind and take them out by pressing [F]., using the knife which should instant kill the Bandit.
Be wary as they could notice you and easily kill you if you don't crouch [ Ctrl ].
Behaviour
When a player approaches, an 'eye' icon will appear above a bandits head, after a few seconds, if the player has not moved then the bandit will attack.
If the player throws an empty bottle, an 'ear' icon will appear above a bandit's head, this will attract the bandit to where the bottle had landed, distracting them.
If you raid a Bandits Camp, then the bandits will raid you by appearing at your home. Bandits also appear at your home if you have built a chicken coop and have chickens set up in here. You can set your base in another place with no improvements to prevent bandits from appearing in bases.

Bandit Sniper[ | ]

A Bandit Sniper is located on the oil-rig Bandit Camp, which is located at the end of the main road past the Estate area.
Once obtaining a weapon, you can sneak up on a Bandit from behind and take them out by pressing [F]., using the knife which should instant kill the Bandit.

Behaviour
This bandit is one of the most dangerous bandits. He detects you from far away and with his Sako 85 Hunting Rifle, he has high accuracy and damage.
When a player approaches, an 'eye' icon will appear above a bandit's head, after a few seconds, if the player has not moved then the bandit will attack. Due to this Bandit wielding a Hunting Rifle, they will be aware of you from a further distance, but this can be countered as they will only look on one side of their compound, giving the player a window to sneak up on them.
